Boiler Servicing
Having your boiler and heating system ensures safe and efficient operation and also checks it has been installed and is working to the manufacturers specifications. A key benefit is it gives us the opportunity to identify faults to prevent total failure, which sometimes come at the most unexpected times.
When your boiler breaks down unexpectedly there is the inconvenience of calling someone out, the cost and the potential of parts been required to get it working again. Depending on when it happens this could be more than 24 hours, especially on a weekend due to business hours of suppliers.
An annual service can identify potential issues before they occur turn in to problems. Also manufacturers can void any stated warranty if your boiler is not serviced annually to the set requirements outlined by them leaving you footing the bill.
We understand customers requirements differ so we offer a range of servicing options. Our boiler servicing options are as follows
Annual Boiler Service
This is carried out as per manufacturers instructions, each have their specific guidelines. The boiler installation is checked and tested. We use specialist equipment to measure pressures, temperatures, gas and air ratios to ensure safety and efficiency. Every home and customer is different so we will assess and advise that your boiler is set at the correct temperatures for your specific needs to ensure there is little or no wasted energy as possible. If able to do so we will also clean your Heating System Filter and will also test your CO Detectors and Smoke alarms ensuring these are functioning and are in date.
Annual Heating Service
In addition to the Annual Boiler Service we will check your heating system (where accessible) for leaks and weeps, we check your radiators are warming up as they should. Boiler manufacturers have begun to ensure that the PH level of the water in the heating system is at the correct level so we include this in our Annual Heating Service. Having the correct PH level ensures your boiler and heating system will last longer, prevents corrosion, blockages, radiators not warming up correctly and also your boiler breaking down. We will take and test a water sample onsite and give you the results. The outcome from the results can vary from simply adding the correct chemicals whilst onsite, (up to 500ml included if required), we will advise you if you require any further protection or preventative measures are needed like fitting a Heating System Filter, a System Cleanse or Power Flush.
Annual Heating Service & Gas Safety Check
This is a complete check of your Gas appliances within your home ensuring they are installed safely and operating as they should, as well as the Annual Heating Service. Each property is different and may also have various gas appliances such as gas fires, cookers, hobs, ovens etc. Carrying out test at your meter to make sure there are no gas escapes is also part of this check.
We will also test your CO Detectors and Smoke alarms ensuring these are functioning and are in date.
Gas Safety Certificates (Landlord/Homeowner)
This is a complete check of your Gas appliances within the property ensuring they are installed safely and operating as they should. Each property is different and may also have various gas appliances such as gas fires, cookers, hobs, ovens etc. Carrying out test at your meter to make sure there are no gas escapes is also part of this check.
We will also test your CO Detectors and Smoke alarms ensuring these are functioning and are in date. For Landlords this is a legal requirement for your tenants on a yearly basis or change of tenancy so why not make sure you have the same level of safety in your own home.
